The development trend of printing paper (Part 1)
as an important and traditional information carrier, paper has always been prosperous, and is increasingly closely related to printing technology. In the 1980s, China's printing industry and paper industry jointly completed the process of transforming relief printing into offset printing, and transforming relief printing paper production into offset printing paper production. At present, few Chinese printing materials use relief printing, and relief printing is almost replaced by offset printing. Although China's paper industry still regards relief printing paper as the key product of industry statistics, the actual production is no longer the relief printing paper of the past, but most of it is offset book paper
offset printing requires that the printing paper has a smoother surface, better printing performance, and can withstand greater changes in temperature and moisture without curling. A series of new varieties of mechanical wood pulp printing paper have been developed internationally. In recent years, the development of digital printing technology, office automation and personal computer has put forward newer and higher requirements for paper
consumers' requirements for printed materials are constantly improving. People not only need to get the knowledge and information they need, but also hope to enjoy beauty and leisure through reading and browsing printed materials. Therefore, paper varieties must be constantly innovated. In a fairly long period of time, the production and consumption of paper will continue to develop steadily as a whole. However, the varieties of paper will change greatly, some old varieties will be eliminated, and some new varieties will appear. New information technology will promote new paper varieties. The basic trend of the development of printing paper varieties in the 21st century:
meet the requirements of multi-color printing
increase intensity and reduce quantification
improve the optical properties and surface properties of paper
increase the amount of filler and pigment
use various effective chemical additives
it meets the requirements of new printing inks, printing processes and printing equipment, and has good printability and operation efficiency
create conditions for expanding the use of recycled fiber pulp (DIP)
develop variety series to achieve a balance between use, quality and production cost
in terms of the development of new varieties of international printing paper, the new varieties of mechanical wood pulp printing paper series can be divided into two categories: the first is the new varieties of uncoated mechanical wood pulp printing paper that are improved, improved and developed on the basis of paper, and the second is the new varieties of coated mechanical wood pulp printing paper for color printing
after the printing technology revolution from relief printing to offset printing, offset printing and thermosetting ink have become the mainstream of newspaper printing. At the same time, paper users no longer care about the quality index that the ash content of paper is less than 3%. Instead, they want paper to have low weight, high strength, good optical properties and printing properties. Therefore, paper enterprises have added fillers to the paper in order to improve the opacity of the paper and the printing ink. The standard sample is divided into three groups to test the ink property of the impact tester; Conduct surface treatment on the paper surface to prevent wool and powder from falling out during offset printing. In terms of raw materials, we also try to use less chemical wood pulp and use a large number of recycled fiber pulp, and thus developed a series of new varieties, such as improved newspring (in paper for short), super improved newspring (sin paper for short), super calendered paper (SC paper), surface treatment super calendered paper (st/sc paper) and pigment paper (MFP paper), etc. Super calendered paper (SC paper) is a kind of uncoated mechanical wood pulp printing paper first developed by Finnish paper industry, which takes mechanical wood pulp as the main fiber raw material, adds considerable filler, and is finished by super calender. It can also be vividly said that SC paper is a high-grade paper with high filler and high ash content. The ration of SC paper is about 60g/m2. There are three varieties of SC paper. The filler content of SC-A paper is (20 ~ 30)%, that of sc-b paper is 15%, and that of sc-C paper is without filler. SC paper is a typical advanced variety of uncoated mechanical wood pulp paper. In the European market, the competition between SC paper and LW paper is very fierce. Some Finnish paper enterprises in Germany believe that the performance and quality of SC paper can catch up with LWC paper. SC paper is rare in the Chinese market. In China, Fujian Longyan paper industry company has invested 6.8 billion yuan to establish a production line that can produce SC paper. This production line was put into trial production in 1998 and produced high-quality paper in 1999. It was popular after it was put on the market. The plant uses Pinus massoniana as raw material for pulping, and is now adjusting its technology to meet the requirements of producing SC paper
refined paper (in paper) and advanced paper (sin paper) are high-quality papers with fillers and surface treatment. After this treatment, not only the optical and printing properties of the paper can be improved, but also the whiteness of the paper can be improved to overcome the lack of whiteness caused by the use of recycled pulp. 2 Carbon fiber reinforced polymer: almost all body parts on polar 1. Surface treatment super calendered paper (st/sc paper) is SC paper that is surface treated by sizing and pressing with an estimated amount and finished by soft calendering. St/sc paper has good smoothness, gloss and gloss contrast. Pigmented paper, also known as machine finished pigmented paper (MFP paper for short), is a new variety of mechanical wood pulp printing paper developed in Japan. It is called "bitokoshi" in the Japanese market. The quantity of MFP paper is (49 ~ 54) g/m2, which is a cheap substitute for LWC paper. The amount of filler and pigment on the surface of MFP paper increases, and the printing performance and whiteness are improved
new varieties of coated mechanical wood pulp printing paper include: light coated paper (LWC paper for short), film coated offset paper (FCO paper for short) and machine finished coated paper (MFC paper for short). These varieties have good color printing performance, and can print inserts, leaflets, coupons, catalogues, samples, magazines and other printed materials. LWC paper is particularly popular in the market. Low weight coated paper (LWC paper): in the international market, North American No. 5 low weight coated paper is used as the standard product. The weight of LWC paper is (58 ~ 61) g/m2, and the coating amount of each side is not more than 7g/m2. LWC paper base paper is still mainly made of mechanical wood pulp, but in order to meet the strength requirements of base paper, it is equipped with more bleached sulfate chemical wood pulp. The whiteness, gloss, smoothness of LWC paper and the ratio of chemical wood pulp in base paper are the highest in the series of mechanical wood pulp printing paper products. LWC paper has good opacity and loose thickness. In some "low weight coated paper" in the Chinese market, the fiber raw materials in the base paper are chemical wood pulp and chemical straw pulp, and mechanical wood pulp is not used or used less, so all quality indicators cannot meet the requirements of genuine LWC paper. In the Chinese market, LWC paper is imported more and more, and the import volume has doubled over the years
